They have a single flower. Generally warm to hot growing.

Maxillaria luteo-alba grows in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela at low altitudes. It is cool to hot growing and is fragrant. Blooming time is fall to spring.

Good looking plant on top with flower and 4 new growths. Roots skimpy except at new growth and sphagnum was completely broken down. Divided the plant into two pieces.
