Cattleya deckeri
The genus Cattleya (C) contains quite a few species from tropical South America. They do best in a medium that has good drainage and dry between watering. Give them a short dryer rest after blooming. All of the South American Laelia species have been reclasssified as Cattleya.
Cattleya deckeri grows in both Central and South America on trees along riverbanks. It is warm to hot growing and fragrant.
